Methods. 48 patients with the diagnosis whiplash injury were treated in the orthopaedic professional clinic with CellVAS therapy conservatively and the control group with a TENS therapy, during rehabilitation measure. The evaluation occurred with the help of a questionnaire, a clinical investigation and a radiological investigation of the backbone. The score according to Lawlis et al. was taken into consideration in the questionnaire. 31(64,6%) of the patients thus treated are female and 17(35,4%) male, with an average age of 46.7 years.
Results. Subjective rating of the sympotms improved significant. Also in objective rating by the attending physician according to different clinically relevant parameters resulted in relevant improvements. The average in patients with whiplash injury on admission using the Lawlis et al. score was 9,3 points. At discharge on average 21, 2 points were reached after treatment.
Conclusions. The used mike stream therapy tend to be superior to the TENS-Therapy. Many years of experience show, that the additional mike stream therapy accelerates and im proves the rehabilitationrate.
